They don't perform as well as current cements and don't include the same harmful ingredients. When quicklime is blended or slaked with water, it produces Slaked Lime, which is a colorless crystal or white powder. The amount of silica and alumina in Hydraulic Lime is more than 15%. It undergoes expansion during the slaking process.
